I'm a novice on the psyche yoga system.  On the test I scored VLFE, but that is improbable.  After reading through all the types, I resonate most with LEVF and LVEF - but I probably have a lot to learn before I can make accurate use of this system.

Her original comment came off to me as being more concealing than evasive, though I can see how it can be seen as the latter. Either way, if she truly is a 4 pretending to be knowledgable about poetry than she actually is, then she would have namedropped various "deep" or avant-garde poets without providing an explicit reasoning for her preference. Evasion, typically, is not a 4 tactic, acting is.

I will admit I'm unable to counter whether fg's argument about meter is applicable, since I'm an amateur with no real understanding of meter.

Any poetry-reader is bound to read predominantly 4 poets, since it is a 4 dominated field. The reasoning she gave for her preferences is explicitly Ti. An INFP IEI 4 would care less about the meter or rhyme of the poem than the overall beauty or "meaningfulness".

Sure - I'm a big fan of Hungarian poetry.

Ady Endre

Láttalak...

Láttalak a multkor,
Mosolyogva néztél,
Éppen úgy, mint akkor,
Mikor megigéztél.
Vérpiros ajkaid
Mosolyogni kezdtek;
Olyan bájos voltál,
Mint mikor azt súgtad:
»Édesem, szeretlek!«

Láttalak a multkor,
Mosolyogva néztél.
Gyönyörü vagy most is,
De meg nem igéztél.
Vérpiros ajkaid
Mosolyogni kezdtek;
Olyan bájos voltál,
Mint mikor hazudtad
Ezt a szót: »Szeretlek!«

"My favorite literature is poetry that adheres to extremely strict rules of meter and rhyme, while presenting evocative imagery at the same time. Even better if the rules are unique to the author.  My favorite visual art is completely abstract but looks more real that reality.  Shhh.... don't tell anyone...." could you give some examples of author that you like because i think the answer that you give does indicate us what you want us to think about your taste rather than your taste (independantly if there is adequation in them). I do poetry and the description that you gave is common to most of people who do poetry (including me) being abstract at the same time as applying strict rules is the basis of poetry. having something abstract that look more real that reality is the objective of poetry. You simply answered to this question "i like good classical poetry/ i like classical poetry that have an effect on me". You did not say anything about poetry at all. This kind of answer is often typical of a lack of knowledge about the field. Just like those who say "i like philosopher who can answer about deep meaning" it is an indicator of their lack of knowledge in the field that impede them to see where are the distinction, what is the problem that mobilized their philosophical senses, where are the differences of methodology and why there is those differences, or even simply defining a simple field of interest.  Answer to "deep meaning" the goal for most, even analytic philosophy that tend to give up on metaphysic and more "deeper" anthropological question is all about meaning that they consid as deep (logical problem most of time). You don't seem to analyze the essence of things that's why a 5 vote is ridiculous for you. But let's go back to poetry i will gave you some clues that may lead you to give a proper answer . I like x imagery (ancient greek imagery, christian imagery, urban imagery etc...), i like x theme (duality, human condition, death etc...) i like x author (Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Verlaine, Goethe etc...).

have you any argument or your only ability is too invoke the word "counterphobic"when you are in a difficult position. You are just like those who invoke "racists" to discredite opponents's views or alt righter who scream "sjw" whenever they are in front of a divergence of opinion. You tend to use naturalist sophism( trying to discredite an opinion because of it's origin (coming from supposed 6) rather than explaining why the opinion/belief is wrong).

That idea that we can only type ourselves best is totally false. The crux of most typology is superficial, and oftentimes our understanding of who we are is naturally too complicated to pigeonhole into personality types that cover only certain domains of traits that “tend to go together,” however a theorist would decide that. We’re complicated, contradictory creatures, and most confusion in typology just comes from the ambiguity it presents when dealing with the literal. There’s always a deeper meaning to it, you just have to search for it. It’s total bogus, but if you follow the pretense, it’ll take you somewhere... or everywhere, really. So many people are very confident about typing characters and celebrities and whoever else because we're only exposed to certain details about them that usually point toward something easy to pin down in a personality system. It turns out that the more you know about someone, the hazier their types seem to get. Why is that? It’s not because they’re just obviously a different type, but it’s because typology fails where people want it to matter. It’s just fun, superficial nonsense.

Typology is fun because the discussion is never actually about people, but the theory: who understands it? who doesn’t understand it? how can it be distorted? how can it be misinterpreted? how can it be reworked? how can we improve it? It’s another domain of total nonsense, but it’s enlightening nonsense. I’ve always been amused by how much everything surrounding typology has told us more about people than typology itself, and it’s that putting it on a golden pedestal for revealing things about yourself that really cracks me up. It’s not typology doing the work, it’s you doing the work. When it is typology doing the work, something usually goes wrong. Maybe you start believing in getting locked into certain types. Maybe you begin believing in One True Type theory. Maybe you start trying to fix yourself using methods that don’t suit you.

But there’s that problem: so many people just don’t understand how to use personality theories correctly. Forget that you don’t know a person well enough to type them—what about not ever being able to apply a personality theory correctly? I’ve never been very keen on using type to determine how somebody will be, because I’ve realized that (within the typology community), I’ve best gotten to know people on terms decided by how they approach typology. Maybe you could argue that I guess even after spending a couple of years hanging around here in my idle time, I still don’t really know everyone well enough to know their One True Type, but with every moment I spend with somebody, I get to know them more as a person. And if you understand how to use type theory, you can type that person you know adequately. It’s not “narrowing down to the right answer,” but more like “getting a bigger picture and applying theories correctly to type them like how you’ve known them.”

So, no. I don’t agree that we understand our own type best, but I would instead say that we know ourselves best.
