Yeah, INP, tough with a healthy dose of Jungian Si (seems to have a clear sense for sense impresionat and is very 'precise' about it).
Dario Argento is someone who was voted INFP on PD, tough there isn't anything really F about him, he just isn't T either.
Lynch is like Ni+Si+Ji.

I agree with that he doesn’t necessarily concern himself with logic and pragmatism, but I feel like what we usually tie to “F” with artists like him is just related to a heavy preference for intuition. Like I don’t really think Lynch necessarily cares much about compassion, tact and preserving harmony? Maybe saying that he could be more T than F is a bad way to describe that he doesn’t seem particularly feeling-bound in the Myers-Briggs sense. He’s seems to be kind of a blunt and “real” person from other videos I’ve watched around and though I don’t think it makes him “T,” it kind of doesn’t make him F either. I think it’s a theme you see among “intuition dominant” people where there isn’t really too much concern placed on that judgment the T/F dimension describes, and I do believe Lynch may be just one of those INP artists with no true preference for the third axis.

The second clip is about a movie he pretty much made as it went.
Anyway, T/F shouldn't be mistaken with being disagreeable/agreeable, it should be more about what criterias one prefers to use, and from no interview with him did I get the impresionat this dude favors logic or pragmatic concerns.

Found them! I can totally see INFP too… but I'm really thinking T. @hearts the first clip should probably cement his perceiverness…

Straw, could you please send me those clips of him directing? I'd be interested to see.

I do kind of see him as a thinker too? I think he’s meticulous and exacting about his art but many perceivers (IN perceivers especially) do have that “inflexibility” when it comes to their art. A lot of artists I personally know have that streak of appearing J with their work but truly being P like their life outside of their work would suggest. Art can be a serious matter! But he does seem T in all honesty... I’m kind of unsure where F would come from unless we talk about how emotive his work may be. Maybe I have the wrong impression though—all I’m working with is a few clips a friend sent me of him directing sets and getting mad in interviews. I’ve also heard somewhere that Gordon Cole from Twin Peaks is an exaggerated reflection of David Lynch’s actual personality, and I don’t think I could type Gordon an F at all.

After watching some behind the scenes footage of him on set I have a hard time seeing him as F? He’s blunt and exacting and weirdly anal about super small details. If I didn’t know better I’d have...kinda assumed T and maybe even J.

Well, it's debatable, but he doesn't seem to care about intelectual consistency or getting at the root of abstract subjects,h e's sort of shallow.
He has a thing with loss of innocence going on, not sure if it's a 4 thing or because of his 9 tough.
549 tritype imo (contrast to Kubrick and Tarkovsky 451).
